主要从事多级结构磁性有机-无机复合纳米功能材料、多级结构高分散负载型金属纳米催化材料及粘土基多孔复合纳米材料的设计合成和催化应用方面的研究工作。主持国家自然科学基金4项、作为专项负责人承担国家“973计划”2项。在Nanoscale、ChemCommun、J Mater Chem、J Phys Chem C、AIChE J、Chem Eng Sci、Ind Eng Chem Res、RSC Adv及Catal Sci Techi等国际学术刊物发表论文50余篇。参加撰写编著2册(《插层组装与功能材料》和《二维纳米复合氢氧化物》。获得授权国家发明专利22项(第一发明人),美国发明专利1项(第二发明人)。
